A self-locking lifting clamp designed for lifting and transporting rails in a horizontal position. The lever mechanism ensures that the jaws clamp onto the rail head with a force proportional to the weight of the lifted load. The version equipped with a lifting eye instead of a shackle allows direct attachment to lifting slings. The device is a removable lifting attachment compliant with lifting equipment requirements.
