Rental of test weights for load testing

Regulations in the European Union require that machines used for material handling (such as cranes, lifts, and jib cranes) must be constructed to safely withstand:

150% of nominal load for static loads (for manually operated devices),
125% of nominal load for static loads (for devices with non-manual operation),
110% of nominal load for dynamic loads.

Additionally, slings, grabs, spreader beams, and other auxiliary equipment used with lifting devices must be capable of lifting loads weighing 200% or more of their nominal load capacity.

Due to these requirements, commissioning lifting devices and their equipment involves mandatory load tests to verify their strength and durability. These tests aim to prevent damage to machines during operation, protect loads during transport, and, most importantly, ensure the safety of personnel using lifting equipment.

HAK offers a service for renting test weights for load testing, capable of achieving any required load up to 400 tons through proper configuration. The rented weights are delivered to the test site using our own transport.

We also provide project planning and test plans, as well as complete test execution with documentation necessary for device approval by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) and authorization for operation.
