Performing load tests for cranes and steel structures

Przedsiębiorstwo HAK Sp. z o.o. offers load testing services for various types of devices and steel structures.

We conduct load tests both on-site at the client’s location and at our facilities. Our weights, configured as needed, allow us to achieve any load up to 400 tons. The test weights are delivered to the testing site using our own transport.

We also provide project planning and test plans, as well as full execution of the tests along with the necessary documentation required for device approval by the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT) and authorization for operation.

We ensure:

• project planning and preparation,
• test plans with technical documentation,
• comprehensive and professional execution of tests in compliance with current regulations,
• own transport services.

The regulation of the Minister of economy, labor, and social policy dated October 29, 2003, requires certain material handling equipment specified in the regulation to undergo load tests before being commissioned. The regulation specifies that machines in this category must be designed to handle:

• 150% of nominal load for static loads (for manually operated devices),
• 125% of nominal load for static loads (for devices with non-manual operation),
• 110% of nominal load for dynamic loads,
• 200% of nominal load for slings, grabs, spreader beams, and other auxiliary lifting equipment (removable lifting accessories).

Due to these requirements, commissioning lifting devices involves mandatory load tests to verify their strength and durability. These tests are designed to prevent damage to machines during operation, protect loads during transport, and most importantly, ensure the safety of personnel using lifting equipment.
