Periodic inspections of cranes

Periodic inspections, also known as maintenance inspections, are regulated by the regulation of the Minister of economy, labor, and social Policy of October 30, 2018, concerning the technical conditions for the supervision, operation, repair, and modernization of material handling equipment. The regulation specifies the rules and frequency of maintenance inspections for various types of devices.

Przedsiębiorstwo HAK Sp. z o.o. provides professional periodic/maintenance inspection services for its own material handling equipment as well as that of other manufacturers, in accordance with the schedules and scopes specified by the equipment producer. If these are not provided in the operational manual, maintenance inspections are performed following the schedules and scopes outlined in Annex 2 of the aforementioned regulation.

Scope of services:

  • checking the technical condition of drive mechanisms, braking systems, load-bearing cables, and their attachments,
  • inspecting the operation of safety devices and movement limiters,
  • inspecting the operation of control, signaling, and lighting devices,
  • verifying the proper operation of the equipment,
  • inspecting the load-bearing structure, particularly detachable and non-detachable connections,
  • inspecting the condition of the runway track,
  • inspecting the protective earthing and grounding installations where applicable.

 

All activities performed during the periodic inspection are recorded in the maintenance logbook, and the operator is immediately notified of any identified irregularities
