Crane Service Life / Lifting Equipment Service Life

As of October 30, 2019, there is a legal requirement to assess the degree of utilization of the service life of lifting equipment.

At HAK Company, the assessment of service life utilization is carried out by a qualified scientific team from the Research and Development Center.

Scope of services:

  • analysis of lifting equipment documentation provided by the client,
  • determining with the client how to record the operating conditions of the equipment,
  • obtaining from the client input data – including mechanism and structural design load limits, load spectra, and number of work cycles,
  • professional calculations of lifting equipment service life utilization, crane service life based on data provided by the client,
  • preparation of calculation documentation verifying the degree of utilization of the lifting equipment service life (crane, hoist, etc.),
  • preparation of documentation/report assessing the potential need for a special inspection,
  • possible execution of a special inspection.

Additionally:

  • evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of purchasing used lifting equipment,
  • advisory services on selecting lifting equipment based on planned processes,
  • advisory services for equipment that has reached 100% of its allowable service life.
