Description:

The automated shunting system is designed for transporting railway wagon boxes during processing and assembly.

A railway shunting device is used to move rail vehicles between parallel railway tracks in places where building railway switches is not feasible—such as in maintenance halls, locomotive sheds, coal and ore sorting facilities, or loading ramps. This type of solution is also used as equipment for production lines manufacturing rail vehicle components, facilitating the movement of wagon boxes and locomotives between various stages of processing and assembly.

FEATURES OF THE AUTOMATED WAGON BOX TRANSPORT SYSTEM

  • The system is based on the design and features of a classic track shunter.
  • It is equipped with an innovative retractable mechanism (coupling-towing), allowing the pulling and pushing of wagons without the use of cable winch systems.
  • Semi-automatic control includes selecting the track from which the rail vehicle will be picked up and the track to which it will be delivered; other work sequences are automated.
  • The coupling system connects the shunter's track with the access tracks to the hall.
  • The positioning system aligns the internal track of the shunter with the access tracks for rail vehicles.
  • Control can also be performed manually via a radio control system with a receiver connected through an industrial connector to the control panel.
  • The shunter is equipped with additional mechanical locking mechanisms to secure the shunter on the track in the position of each access track.
  • It includes electrically controlled barriers that notify people when the transport process is starting.
  • The system can be configured in various sizes and load capacities.
