Rail transport platforms
Rail transport platforms are one of the basic technical solutions used in internal factory transport – especially where frequent transportation of heavy loads and non-standard dimensions is required. They enable communication between distant production stations or between the production hall and the warehouse.
These rail platforms move along tracks that are part of the industrial facility's infrastructure, with the track typically being straight. Such platforms have their own drive system – usually battery-powered or combustion-powered – and a control system, either radio-controlled or cassette-based. Horizontal transport devices can be equipped with various components for load positioning or systems for manipulating the load at a specific stage of the technological process.
