Transport Platforms and Carts
A transport platform is a technical solution used in in-house horizontal transport. It is employed where efficient and safe movement of loads, especially large ones, is required between workstations or different stages of the technological process.
Transport platforms play a key role in production and technological processes within factories and warehouses, as well as outdoors between buildings. They are used to transport loads of up to 400 tons, which are loaded onto the platform using lifting devices like cranes or hoists. Depending on the conditions and needs, the platforms move on straight tracks (rail-guided transport platforms) or on swivel wheels freely on flat surfaces (self-propelled transport platforms).

Transport Platforms as Part of the Technological Process
Both rail-guided and self-propelled transport platforms have their own drive system – the power supply can be battery-powered, combustion-powered, or delivered via a cable reel or cable carrier. Control is done through wired control panels or wirelessly (radio control), and it is also possible to control the platform from a cabin or have it operate in automatic mode.
Safety is ensured through features like visual and audible signals, anti-collision systems to prevent accidents, and functions that confirm the presence of an operator or load. Additional equipment includes load support brackets, special holders for transporting unusual loads, rotators, or thermal shields. Other available solutions for transport platforms include mechanisms for smoothly adjusting the working length of the platform, systems for overcoming gaps and track intersections, self-loading mechanisms, and designs for use in harsh conditions.
