Lifting beams

A lifting beam is a technical solution commonly used when a transitional element is required between the crane hook and the load suspension points. A properly selected beam-type lifting beam or special lifting beam enables lifting and the efficient, safe transport of various non-standard loads in industries such as construction, logistics, or in-plant transport.

A crane lifting beam comes in various designs. Among the most versatile lifting beams used in industrial facilities across different sectors are beam lifting beams with fixed and adjustable hook spacing. These are designed to work with crane hooks, allowing for the lifting of loads with different suspension point arrangements.

HAK Sp. z o.o. has many years of experience in manufacturing crane lifting beams and gantry lifting beams. Our offer includes all types of these versatile devices. We also specialize in designing special lifting beams, adapted to handle unique and often highly unusual loads. All our devices comply with applicable regulations, ensuring safety, high quality, and competitive pricing.

Lifting beam as a common transport solution

Crane lifting beams – also known as lifting beams – provide a method for lifting and transporting loads that cannot be suspended from a crane using standard slings. The use of a lifting beam allows for the lifting of loads with various suspension point arrangements and spacing, including:

  • bundles and packages of materials,
  • structural components,
  • loads without suspension points (e.g., pipes, metal sheets, steel and concrete coils).

A crane lifting beam is an essential piece of equipment in industrial facilities handling various types of materials. When selecting the right lifting beam, attention should be paid to its shape and dimensions, and the lifting equipment should be appropriately matched. If a traditional beam lifting beam is insufficient, a special lifting beam design must be developed to handle specific types of loads.

When choosing the right lifting beam, it is necessary to consider factors such as:

  • the method of attaching the lifting beam to the crane hook,
  • the lifting beam’s span,
  • the number of load suspension points and their spacing,
  • load capacity,
  • the possibility of leveling the load during lifting.
