Pillar jib cranes

Pillar jib cranes, alongside wall-mounted cranes, are currently the most popular type of in-house cranes. Their functional advantage lies in their exceptionally large technical capabilities, while their structural benefit is the ability to integrate into the building and machinery infrastructure of almost any facility without the need for significant modifications or upgrades. This is why pillar rotating cranes are an excellent solution for servicing individual machines, loading specific materials, or transporting parts and components in automotive or artisan workshops. The largest pillar jib cranes can cover almost entire halls, serving as the primary means of transportation for various tasks.

HAK Company offers a wide selection of pillar jib cranes, varying in terms of technical capabilities and mechanisms used. All pillar cranes are designed and manufactured based on customer needs and installation possibilities, and they are equipped with hoists from renowned global manufacturers. Each device is provided with quality certification, necessary documentation, and a warranty.

Pillar Cranes – Construction and Functionality

The primary element of a rotating pillar jib crane is the jib – a horizontal arm on which a manual or electric hoist is mounted on a traveling trolley. The area covered by the crane's operation is determined by several factors: the mounting height of the jib with the hoist, which dictates the lifting height; the length of the jib, which defines the radius of the crane's working area; and the way the jib is mounted, which determines the range of rotation.

Rotating pillar cranes are characterized by the highest technical capabilities. The largest of these, full-rotation pillar cranes, can handle loads of up to 10 tons, with a jib length of up to 12 meters. ZSO cranes can perform a full rotation, making them an ideal choice as the main transporter for various tasks within a hall. Cantilever pillar cranes are devices with medium technical parameters but are often ordered by customers due to their excellent price-to-performance ratio. Mounting the jib on a cantilever allows for achieving the maximum lifting height within the facility’s infrastructure. Partial rotation of the crane is done manually, with load capacities of up to 2 tons. The lightest design is the tie-rod pillar crane – these cranes, with a load capacity of up to 2 tons, are ideal for equipping individual workstations.
