Hook blocks

A hook block is a device used to attach a load via a sling or directly. The main structural elements of hook blocks are wire rope sheaves and a bearing-mounted shank hook. Depending on the type of hook used, there are single-horn hook blocks and double-horn hook blocks.

The construction of hook blocks uses the principle of multiple sheaves. For a hook with a specific load capacity, either a single- or multi-sheave block can be used. In the case of a multi-sheave block, the lifting speed will be slower than that of a single-sheave block, and its size and weight will also increase.

Due to their work with extremely heavy loads and the associated safety risks, hook blocks are subject to strict standards. This prevents arbitrary design and construction of this equipment, ensuring safe operation.

HAK Company offers both short and long hook blocks, covering a full range of load capacities.

Compliance with the applicable European Directives by the manufacturer is confirmed by the CE marking on the device and the inclusion of a declaration of conformity.
