Load testing weights

Regulations in European Union countries require that lifting equipment (cranes, hoists, gantries) must be designed to safely handle:

  • 150% (manual devices) and 125% (non-manual devices) of nominal load for static loads,
  • 110% of the intended nominal load for dynamic loads.

Slings, grabs, spreader bars, and other auxiliary equipment working with lifting devices should be designed to lift a load weighing 200% of the nominal load (or more).

Given these requirements, commissioning lifting equipment and its accessories involves the obligation to conduct appropriate tests to verify their load-bearing strength. The goal is to prevent damage to machines during operation and loads during transport, and most importantly, to ensure the safety of personnel operating the lifting equipment.

HAK offers the service of renting weights for load tests, which can be configured to achieve any weight up to 400 tons. The rented weights are delivered to the testing site using our own transport.

We also offer project work and test plans, along with complete test execution, including documentation necessary for approval by UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) and obtaining permission for operation.

We provide:

  • selection of appropriate sets up to 400 tons,
  • project work,
  • test plans with technical documentation,
  • comprehensive and professional testing compliant with current regulations,
  • our own transport.
