The innovative manipulator system was developed in response to a specific technological situation of the customer. It is designed as a system of devices for performing inspections of objects placed on a rotator, utilizing a particle accelerator and a detector.

Radiographic testing is one of the most effective non-destructive testing methods. The principle of detecting material discontinuities is based on the phenomenon of radiation intensity change as it passes through the object being tested, where defects create areas of varying thickness. X-ray testing involves passing a beam of ionizing radiation through the tested element. Differences in radiation absorption, penetrating the test object, create an image on a digital plate that acts as the detector. The manipulator system with a rotator is a comprehensive solution enabling radiographic inspections of products with dimensions specified by the customer.

FEATURES OF THE MANIPULATOR SYSTEM WITH DETAIL ROTATOR

  • The complete system consists of three components: the object rotator assembly, the accelerator manipulator assembly, and the detector manipulator assembly
  • Each component moves on its own track
  • Power supply to the components is provided using cable carriers
  • The object rotator assembly consists of a movable set of drive rollers and a movable set of free rollers. Adjustment of their positions and the ability to lock positions allow the mechanism to be adapted to objects of various sizes
  • The accelerator and detector assemblies are movable columns with height adjustment capabilities for key devices, thus allowing for particle emission and detection
  • Possibility to construct the system in various size configurations
