Rotary manipulator for roller transport

The roller transport manipulator is based on a dual-girder overhead crane design, equipped with a rotary lifting beam mounted on rigid pivoting chains, ensuring stable lifting and lowering of the load. An additional enhancement is the semi-automatic operation system, which allows the device to be programmed with specific movement sequences and to stop at precisely defined positions.

FEATURES OF THE ROTARY MANIPULATOR FOR ROLLER TRANSPORT

  • the system is based on a dual-girder overhead crane designm,
  • the device is equipped with a rotary grab (lifting beam) permanently mounted on a trolley,
  • the grab is mounted using rigid telescopic guides,
  • the grab features two pairs of grabbing arms, selected based on the current technological process,
  • the system allows for smooth adjustment of the grabbing arm spacing, enabling the transport of rollers of varying widths,
  • adjustment of the roller axis position – either along the crane’s girders or perpendicular to them – is achieved mechanically via the rotation of the lifting beam,
  • vertical movement is facilitated by a hoist and guiding columns,
  • the entire process is controlled remotely via a radio system,
  • the system can be customized to various size configurations.
