Tramcar Turntable
The device has been installed in a transit channel, which required accounting for the loads imposed during vehicle passage. The turntable was installed directly in a recessed foundation below the running rails, with the turntable rails placed at the same level as the incoming rails. The turntable table rotates on wheels mounted to the ground. This device exemplifies a custom technical solution designed and executed for specific conditions.
Application:
The device is used to change the direction of rail vehicles (in this case, tramcar bogies) at a tram depot.
