Gantry cranes are a type of crane most commonly used outdoors, outside of production halls. Due to their construction and design, gantry cranes can be installed and utilized in practically any technological process, in all weather conditions. Gantry cranes are used in industrial plants across various sectors, enabling efficient loading of vehicles, material handling, and load manipulation during processing.

HAK offers gantry cranes with various parameters, precisely tailored to the needs of the technological processes carried out in a given industrial facility. We design gantry cranes after an on-site inspection and assessment of the client's requirements, with the price of the crane depending on many factors. We manufacture devices adapted to existing runways, and if necessary, we modernize the runway or install new crane rails. Our gantry cranes come equipped with power systems and all the necessary accessories—spreader bars, buckets, grabs, slings, and other elements essential for load handling. All gantry cranes are subject to the provisions of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, and we confirm compliance by marking the crane with a CE label and providing a Declaration of Conformity.

What parameters should be considered when selecting a gantry crane?

A gantry crane is constructed in the form of either a single-girder or double-girder gate. The girders are supported by end trucks, which act as vertical supports equipped with travel wheels. The travel systems of gantry cranes are designed to move along a runway at ground level. A lifting device—either a hoist or a winch—is mounted on the crane bridge. This design allows the crane to cover large areas, limited only by the span of the runway. When selecting the parameters for a gantry crane, many factors should be considered. Key considerations include the type and weight of the loads to be transported, the intensity of crane operation, the area to be covered by the crane, and—if the technological process requires it—the type of vehicles that will be serviced using the crane. Gantry cranes can cover large loading areas and are sometimes used for handling rail terminals. Our company not only provides gantry cranes but also comprehensive power systems and crane equipment such as grabs, buckets, spreader bars, and lifting clamps. In addition to installing and commissioning the equipment, we also organize crane inspection by UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) and provide complete training on crane operation. We back our projects with both warranty and post-warranty support, offering competitive prices and maintenance services for gantry cranes from various manufacturers.
